What is an Asda Story In-game Councilor?
-They are the person who assist or guide new players inside the game.
-Served as a living knowledge of the game.
-Uphold all in-game and forum policies and procedures.
-Report player comments and suggestions.
-Provide assistance to other players
-Language support for German, Finland, Romanian, Estonian, Norwegian, Dutch and other European Languages.
-They can help the community to maintain the balance inside the game.
-Build relationships with users to foster trust, goodwill, and cooperation
-This is purely a volunteer position. The Asda Story Game Councilor is not a permanent position, every 3 months (quarterly). The GM team will look for another Game councilor.

Requirements:
-Strong knowledge of the game (ASDA Story Online) is a must.
-Able to speak and understand English and European Languages fluently.
-Can play the game for at least 3-5 hours a day.
-Online Game experience.
-High level of motivation, discipline & commitment is a must.
-A willingness to work and to handle a practical circumstance
-Manage the forums, including the new member of the forum in Asda Story and respond to questions and issues from the community.

William: My name is Kang Dong Hoon (a.k.a. William) and I am the COO of Playmedia Group (Foxxgames). I have been with Online Gaming Industry for almost 8 years now. I started of with GameWebzine, Mud4u located in Korea for 2 years. And I was employed to Hanbitsoft which is an Online Game Developing Company. I have been with them for 3 years and was in charge of the company’s Marketing, Operations and Planning Department. I had experienced 4 online games while staying with them. And eventually, I started handling Global Operations and had been doing this for 3 years. And I realized and saw the essential and amazing opportunities of Europe Market.

My presence in Foxxgames is to control Company’s Operations and to handle Game Customer Service. I am also acting as the channel between the Developer and Foxxgames.

Simone: What are the differences between Asda Story and other MMOs? And when does the game go the same way as other MMOs?

William: Asda Story has its own unique features that cannot be seen in other MMOs like Digging System where you can dig some rare items in field, Sowel System adding stones for additional attributes to your equipments, Soul Guardian that helps and boosting your character and specially the Soulmate System in a one-on-one party system that earned additional experience points and unique skills that only Soulmates can have. Same with other MMOs Asda Story game system is by creating your desired character looks and its job, doing some quest by killing many monsters to have more experience points, joining a Clan/Guild to become more popular in game, having PVP (player vs. player) to determined who’s the strongest among the players and lastly having a new discovered friends inside the game by communicating in one another.

Simone: Please tell me us something about the classes in Asda Story. There are three classes (warrior, archer, mage) and later the professions of each class. How does it work?

William: There are 3 job classes in Asda Story:

1.    Warrior

“Warriors” possess the strongest defense and it specializes in attack and ferocious force. After reaching Level 5 you can now get the First Job Quest to become a Fighter then select one out of three: “One handed Sword”, “Two handed Sword” and a “Spear Warrior”. All the “Warriors” have special powers and skills of their own. Reaching Level 24 getting the Second Job Quest becomes a Knight and reaching Level 40 for Third Job becomes a Weapon Master.

2.    Archer

An “Archer” attacks from a long range which makes it difficult for the monsters to retaliate. “Class” can possess an immunity skill. “Archer” posses’ great defense and stun resistance, as well as mass skills to attack a group of monsters at once. After reaching Level 5 you can now get the First Job Quest to become an Archer select one out of three: “Crossbow Archer”, “Bow Archer” and “Ballista”. All the “Archers” have special powers and skills of their own. Reaching Level 24 getting the Second Job Quest becomes a Ranger and reaching Level 40 for Third Job becomes a Master Archer.

3.    Mage

As the name indicates, “Mages” use powerful magic as their special power. After reaching Level 5 you can now get the First Job Quest to become a Mage select one out of three: “Destroyer”, “Protector” and “Restorer”. “Destroyer” controls the black magic of shadows and fire to burn down the monsters. “Protector” heals other players or shed big thunders from the sky to attack the monsters with their light and climate skills. “Restorer” commands the land and water to provide shield buffs to their allies or to stun the monsters. Reaching Level 24 getting the Second Job Quest becomes a Sorcerer and reaching Level 40 for Third Job becomes an Arch Mage.

Simone: What’s the so-called “soul-mate’ system? It sounds very interesting.

William: “Soulmate” is a unique feature of Asda Story. It is a one-on-one party system which allows two players to get not only an interesting companion, but it also gives players certain benefits over playing solo. This feature helps the players to communicate to the other players by finding their temporary or permanent Soulmate in the game. Certain in-game skills can only be earned and deployed when the player has a “Soulmate”. Upon rejecting the “Soulmate”, skills temporarily become unavailable until another “Soulmate” is found.

Simone: Another feature of Asda Story is the “sowel system”. Can you tell us more?

William: Sowel is one of the Asda Story features which is the combination of Soul and Jewel that players can gain during their adventure in the Asda world. Sowel can be divided into Main and Option, both of which will upgrade the weapon and armor capabilities. Main sowels drop as combined in the weapon and armor, and option sowels drop as a booster. Sowel can be divided into ranks: common, uncommon, rare and hero.

Simone: Now tell us in one sentence, why should I play Asda Story, and not another Free2Play-MMORP?

William: If you wish to experience an online game which is one of a kind and has far-out features then you should play Asda Story!


Simone: What can we expect in the future? What content and features are at work?

William: We will definitely have additional exciting maps. Player’s anticipation will be all worthwhile once they experience the new maps.

We’re also planning to have additional features such as Fishing and Housing System. The fishing system will allow the players to gain special items through fishing in the Water part of the map. And the Housing System allows the players to gain their own house by gathering certain in game materials. And there are some other features that are also in the process which we will add to this game.


Simone: Let’s talk a little more about you. What’s your favorite class and why?

William: My favorite job class in Asda Story would be Mage. Mage has complicated tasks. Mage uses Magical Attack in hunting monsters and provide buff to give support powers to party members. In real life I act similarly as Mage, by giving support to my colleagues and share my knowledge that will help them grow to become a better person.

Simone: Do you play Asda Story in your spare time? Or are you glad that if you have nothing to do with the game for some hours? Be honest

William: Yes, I can say that I’m a fan or should say an “addict” player of Online Games. Online Games provides not just entertainment but provides opportunity to meet great different people even how far they can be. In Asda Story, I personally like to monitor what is happening inside the game and know players’ feedbacks and opinions. Also, this is also a way that I can bond together with my daughter. I can play and be with my daughter even when I am working and far from her at times.

Simone: So what in your life you could never live without?

William: Passion, it’s a strong feeling when you want to attain something you can never live without until you do achieve it. Just like what T. Alan Armstrong said that “If there is no passion in your life, then have you really lived? Find your passion, whatever it may be. Become it, and let it become you and you will find great things happen for you, to you and because of you”. Because nothing great in the world has ever been accomplished without passion.

Beta Test is executed during Sep 17 (10am gmt) – Sep 20 (4pm gmt).

You can send bug reports as many times as you want. Go to “Support” and “Bug Report”.

After Beta Test please send a final report. Click “Beta Test Report Form” on website main page.

CTB limitations

* Data Wipe-out: player data and remaining Xcoins will be wiped out. EXCEPT character name (PLAYERS WILL KEEP CHARACTER NAMES).

DETAILED CBT RULES

Reward: all CBT participants who send rational and helpful feedback will be rewarded with 5,000 Xcoins. In addition, the Top Three most active feedback senders will be rewarded with 20,000 extra Xcoins. The coins will be awarded after the feedback has been analyzed (within 1-2 weeks) and all rewarded players will be notified separately via e-mail.

Test Coins: once you register on Foxxgames.com you will be given 50,000 Xcoins free, to be spent during CBT.

Data Wipe-Out: after CBT, all the levels, EXPs and remaining free Xcoins will be eliminated. That means, upon game commercialization (after CBT), you will start the game from point zero. EXCEPTION: players will keep character names.

Test period: CBT starts on Thursday, September 17 at 12.00 am. Test stops on Sunday, September 20 at 18.00 pm. All times EET, Finnish time. Note! 12 am EET is 11AM Central European time.

Registration and Client download period: players can register and download the Client during the entire Test period.

Debug period: after CBT, there will be a debug period that lasts until September 24. However, the game is playable during CBT, but will be disconnected periodically for maintenance purposes (we will not separately announce the maintenance downtimes).

Official launch: the game launch is September 24, 2009 (if CBT goes without issues).

Feedback form: you are kindly asked to complete the Feedback Form on the Asda Story website. You may send us feedback as many times as you deem necessary. The web form is available from September 17. The last opportunity to send us Beta-test feedback is on September 23, 21.00 (9pm) EET (Finnish time). That is 20.00 (8pm) Central European time.

Development: the game website site will be translated to multiple languages (approximately 15 languages in total). The Pan European game Client is available in English. Billing is localized for almost all European countries, including mobile, credit card, local bank transfers, Wallie, Internet payment buttons and more.

Asda Story is so called MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Play Game). It’s a full 3D fantasy game, based on a colorful, bright, and cheerful world. It is an easy game to start with, but it also satisfies hardcore players who would like to use complicated key controls.

Gameplay

Game is about fighting against monsters and other players, getting to the next levels (“leveling”) and executing missions (“quests”) that are given on behalf of Asda virtual personnel (“NPC = Non Character Person”).
